Yes, all of the reviews are real. Customers are NOT reimbursed for writing them. A couple of weeks after purchasing, every Aslan Mattress customer receives an email asking for feedback on products they purchased. These reviews are then posted on the site automatically through a third party review software called Yotpo. We cannot alter or change them in any way.

It seems to good to be true, but we've been developing mattresses specifically for online sale since 2005 and as mentioned tested the final design for entire year before advertising so by design, it is an amazing mattress that truly does deliver deep sleep and pain/pressure relief for all body types. 

The ZenBed was the original name of the Aslan Mattress, unfortunately, although the term was trademarked by us in 2016, a larger company forced us to abandon it. In April 2018 we changed our name to Aslan Mattress, we did not change the product- only the name & branding. 

Our reviews are managed by a third party software called Yotpo, I explained our situation to them but they replied and said that the reviews were the property of the customers who left them and could not be altered. 

Aslan mattress was founded in 2016 but we did not begin advertising until completing an entire year of testing the mattress in the market. After receiving very positive feedback from customers who had been sleeping on it for up to a year, we decided it was time to start advertising. We did this to ensure our product would live up to its expectations and deliver restful sleep, preventing unnecessary returns.

In regards to 'review fraud', unfortunately it is a very real thing and it does happen. Being in the industry for 11 years, I've run across individuals who previously worked for nationally known brands and have admitted they hired people to write false reviews. Aslan mattress will never generate false reviews, but will always strive to represent the product well and adhere to our policies to prevent any negative feelings from our customers. 

The Aslan Mattress is the result of 11+ years being involved specifically in the online mattress industry. Eleven hard, yet exciting years of designing, creating, and testing (at 3rd party labs) dozens of mattress prototypes and materials. Aslan Memory Foam Mattress

Noway. This isn't cheap, unregulated yellow foam, no need to air it out. It will be ready to sleep on within minutes. 

Move your Aslan Mattress to the bedroom, open box, put it on your foundation, floor, platform bed, or adjustable bed (or anything else flat and sturdy), cut the plastic and be amazed at the expanding mattress. Pull plastic away and begin sleeping. All of our foam is CertiPUR-US® certified to ensure it is made responsibly to the highest standards and is checked against having harmful chemicals.

It is covered by our Infinite Warranty. Initially it will soften up a bit in the first 6 months (as all mattresses do) then the softening will stabilize, this is one advantage of compressing the mattress – it knocks out the majority of ‘softening’ that other mattresses in showrooms will go through over time.

Our customers rarely report sleeping hot.  The top two layers are very high quality (and expensive) specialty foams that are designed to keep you in the cooler sleeping range of 87 °- 90° degrees F°.

No, please keep you cover on for safety reasons.  It contains a fire barrier required on all mattresses sold in the U.S. per CFR 1663.  We recommend purchasing a mattress protector if your mattress will be exposed to organisms that soil most everything they touch, such as children, grandchildren, and pets. NOTE: anything you cover your mattress with will affect the way it feels to you. Even very thin sheets can increase and in some cases decrease pressure points.  We’ve performed pressure tests with and without covers and sheets and the results are quite astonishing.  Generally speaking, stay away from anything tight, it will firm the mattress up more than you think due to surface tension. 

No. The Aslan Mattress is made from extremely durable foam using precise manufacturing processes that creates a a foam that hold its properties over time. No need to flip or turn to extend its life. 

The Aslan Mattress is approximately 10" thick. 

The build up is as follows:

• 2" GEL Infused Phase Change Memory Foam - An open cell, visco-elastic memory foam infused with GEL beads and phase change material.
  
• 1.5" Next Generation Memory Foam - A transitional foam that provides a little bounce, improves rebound time, and additional pressure relief for transition to the support layer.

If you are asking if you can place a glass of wine/water on one end of an Aslan mattress and jump on the other end without causing a spill, the answer is yes (please don't try this at home). Also, it is a lot easier to get in and out of bed (doubtful you will ever want to get out of your Aslan, but if you do) without disturbing your partner or brood of cats. 

On another note, the sturdier your mattress base/bed/foundation is, the less motion transfer you will experience. So tighten up anything under your Aslan mattress to improve its ability to reduce motion transfer.

Mattresses ship FedEx® directly to your home compressed safely in a protective bag and box. The closer you live to the southeast U.S., the faster you will receive the mattress.  No need to sign for the package unless FedEx deems your neighborhood is unsafe to leave it in. Tracking info will be emailed to you ASAP and you can track your order.  If you have a giant dog like I do, be sure to keep him in unless it is friendly.  If you require special instructions or want to want to request delivery on a certain date (Mon-Fri, non holidays), the order notes in your shopping cart is where you do this and we will make it happen if possible.

We can set up mattresses for customers in the greater Knoxville Tennessee area. For those not in this area, the box it comes in (18.5 x 18.5 x 41”) will make it much easier to install than a traditional mattress.

Most normal human beings cannot squeeze it back into the box it came in.  If you manage to do this, you need to try out for the Olympics; however, getting it back into the box is not necessary in the rare occurrence you need to return it.

Most orders ship within 1-2 business days and will be in transit for 1-5 days depending on where you live. Check the shipping map to estimate your total delivery time or email us if you are uncertain. We are within 1-2 days transit time for around 67% of the US population.

No, unless you live in a neighborhood that FedEx does not feel comfortable with leaving it in. Another option is to have it delivered to your work or apartment/building office if that is possible. It will fit in the back seat of most vehicles, package is 18.5 x 18.5 x 41".

We don’t accept RMA requests until after a full 50 day trial. Measure your bed frame, foundation, platform, or adjustable bed to make sure you are ordering the correct size. We do not accept returns for incorrectly ordered mattresses. 

Aslan Mattress reserves the right to not sell a mattress to a customer who has previously returned.

There is science behind this one.. your body needs time (up to 60 days) to adjust to its new sleeping surface. How long this takes depends on a number of factors including previous sleeping surface, age, how long you were on your previous sleeping surface, spine health, weight and overall health. We have had many customers initially dislike the mattress at first only to sing its praises after a couple of weeks.

Returns are very rare- we've only had 2 since we began in 2016. There is a high probability that you will not need to return this mattress.

The best way to ensure your Aslan Mattress is on the correct surface and will perform to its full potential is to get our Mattress Foundation. If you already have something else in mind, make sure it is a flat, sturdy surface that does not have spaces wider than 5" on its top surface.

Yes, the Mattress Foundation is made to International Sleep Product Association (ISPA) standards and will fit into any standard bed or bed frame. 

Warranty Overview (We also match any mattress warranty)
In summary, in accordance with the conditions set forth below, this warranty covers any visible sag in the mattress over 1.25”.  There are no fees associated with returning the mattress in the first 10 years to Aslan, BUT the product must be, at our option, inspected by Aslan before a warranty claim can be processed.  Read on for more details.

Aslan Mattress Infinite Warranty
Aslan warrants that it will, at Aslan’s option, replace or repair the purchaser's Aslan if it is defective due to defective materials or craftsmanship, subject to the limitations described in this limited warranty.  There are no warranties in addition to this one described.

Warranty is valid only for original purchaser of new products, extends from the original purchase date of the original product purchased and is non-transferable.  

Aslan mattresses are designed to work on a flat, sturdy surface, foundation or adjustable bed base that is structurally sound and can adequately support the weight of purchaser’s Aslan mattress and user(s).  Slats or spaces on any of the surfaces mentioned above cannot exceed 5” or it invalidates this warranty. Visibly sagging foundations are not covered.

Valid foundations include traditional box springs, platform beds, adjustable beds, murphy beds, wall beds, any solid, flat surface including the floor as long as it meets the requirements listed in the previous paragraph. 

If the Aslan is used on an inadequate base of any type not meeting the requirements described above the warranty (expressed or implied) is invalidated.

Aslan may require purchaser to provide proof of the quality of the box springs, mattress foundation, or adjustable bed supporting the Aslan to make a warranty claim.  Aslan reserves the right to void this warranty if the mattress is not used on a proper foundation.

Things covered by this limited warranty:

A visible indentation that exceeds 1.25”, not associated with an indentation or sag due to an inadequate  foundation or adjustable bed base, platform bed, etc.  

Things NOT covered by this limited warranty:
Intentional or unintentional abuse or damage to the Aslan, including but not limited to, burns, cuts, rips, or liquid damage, stains not caused by faulty craftsmanship or defective components. A ‘softening’ of the Aslan Aslan memory foam material, which is normal and does not affect the pressure-relieving benefits of the mattress.  All mattresses soften up over time, some more than others.   The cover is non removable. Do not remove the cover, removing the cover invalidates the warranty.   

First 10 Years – Full Coverage
During the first 10 years of this limited warranty, Aslan will not charge the purchaser to repair or replace the purchaser's mattress if it is deemed ineffective.  The replacement mattress is covered under this warranty, valid from the original purchase date of the replaced mattress and is NOT extended beyond that time.

Years 11+ – Prorated Coverage
During years 11+ of this limited warranty Aslan will, at its option, repair or replace the mattress at a prorated charge to the purchaser.  Purchaser is responsible for transportation costs associated with returning the mattress to Aslan for inspection.  If Aslan replaces the mattress; the prorated replacement charge is as follows: Replacement fee in year 11 is 50% of original purchase price, and a 5% increase in addition to this for each year beyond 11 up to year 15.

Other Limitations on this Warranty

If a warranty repair/replacement is deemed necessary, purchaser will be required to surrender the original product to Aslan at the time of replacement.  There are no express or implied warranties, other than the warranty described in this limited warranty.  This limited warranty gives the purchaser specific legal rights, and the purchaser may also have other rights, which may vary from state to state.
